Gary Oradat, Executive Director of the Coastal Water Authority (CWA), met with U.S. Representative Kevin Brady at Texas Water Day 2007 in Washington, D.C. on February 6 and 7, 2007. Texas Water Day is an annual event drawing Texas water professionals to Washington, D.C., to inform Congress and federal agencies of the critical water issues facing the state and to support initiatives addressing those issues.
The Luce Bayou Project illustrates the importance of state water planning and regional implementation and was used as an example for discussions with U.S. Representative Brady.
